It was a quiet weekend for London clubs as only two teams, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham, secured wins in the Barclays Premier League. The most notable defeat in the capital was that of Chelsea’s at Upton Park. After going ahead through Spaniard Juan Mata in the first half they failed to hold on in the second as goals from Carlton Cole, Mohamed Diame and Modibo Maiga resulted in a 3-1 loss for Rafa Benitez. Manchester United come from behind to win, again. While their city rivals managed to keep their unbeaten streak going as they managed to defeat Tottenham 2-1, just. Chelsea drew 1-1 to Liverpool at home in match they will ponder what could have been as they went ahead early on before missing numerous chances before Liverpool mounted a late charge to almost win the game themselves. At the bottom end of the table Reading and QPR remain without a single league win this season as the pressure continues to mount on manager Mark Hughes.
